Line Cook

The Range Café is looking for a line cook!

As a line cook, you will be directly responsible for production of food and beverage products produced by the assigned station. This includes preparation of products to set quality standards, following all recipes and procedures while maintaining a clean, orderly and sanitary work station.  

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years kitchen preparation on cooking experience required with a minimum of six months experience in a similar capacity.
  • Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with management, culinary, and hospitality teams. 
  • Must possess, understand and utilize a sense of urgency, and be able to work at a fast and efficient pace.
  • Be able to lift, reach bend, stoop, and able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to nine hours). 
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver ware and equipment frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
  • Be able to multi task.

Prep Cook

The Range Café is looking for a prep cook! As a prep cook, you will be directly responsible for production of food and beverage products assigned and required according to daily production lists. This includes preparation of products to set quality standards, following all recipes, procedures while maintaining a clean, orderly and sanitary work station.  

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year kitchen preparation on cooking experience required with a minimum of three months experience in a similar capacity.
  • Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with management, culinary, and hospitality teams.

Pantry Cook

The Range Café is looking for a pantry cook! As a pantry cook, you will be directly responsible for production of food and beverage products produced by this station. This includes preparation of products to set quality standards, following all recipes, portioning, cooking and serving procedures while maintaining a clean, orderly and sanitary work station. Ensuring that all products are consistently prepared and served according to set specifications.

Qualifications: 

  • No prior restaurant experience required.
  • Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with management and team members.
  • Must possess, understand and utilize a sense of urgency, and be able to work at a fast and efficient pace.
  • Be able to lift, reach bend and stoop, and able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver ware and equipment frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
  • Be able to multi task.

Dishwasher

The Range Café is looking for a Dishwasher! As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for washing, cleaning and sanitizing tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. You should be able to load, run, and unload dish machine while maintaining a clean, orderly and sanitary work station.  

Qualifications:

  • No previous restaurant experience required.
  • Must be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment. 
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with management, culinary, and hospitality teams. Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Must possess, understand and utilize a sense of urgency, and be able to work at a fast and efficient pace.
  • Be able to lift, reach bend, stoop, and able to work in a standing position for long periods of time, (up to 9 hours)

Bartender

The Range Café is looking for a bartender!

The bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers. The bartender creates a friendly and memorable experience for guests by providing excellent guest hospitality. Maintains a friendly and cheerful manner to all guests at all times. Increases sales by promoting special drinks and special events.

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume operation 
  • Ability to pass bar validation 
  • Extensive knowledge of drink recipes and in preparation of cocktails
  • Ability to operate Point of Sale system to perform all necessary transactions, knowledge of Aloha POS system beneficial 
  • Capable of communicating effectively in English to respond clearly to customer requests 
  • Ability to read menus to sight-impaired guests
  • Ability to lift and carry very heavy cases several times per shift 
  • Stands during entire shift 
  • Frequent immersion of hands in hot water 
  • Frequent bending and stooping

Executive Pastry Chef

The Range Café is hiring an Executive Pastry Chef! As an executive pastry chef, you will be directly responsible for bakery preparation and maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness; training of bakery employees in methods of baking, preparation, plate presentation, cost control, and sanitation. Responsible for the consistent preparation of innovative and creative baked goods of the highest quality, presentation, and flavor. This position reports to the Executive Chef.

Job Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • 2+ years bakery management
  • 3+ years pastry production
  • Excel & Word
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Food inventory and ordering system
  • ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent
  • NM Alcohol Certification 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office. 
  • Development of new leaders. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Work a 45-hour week. 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. 
  • Must be able to assist and fill in all bakery positions. 



Host/Cashier

The Range Café is looking for a host and cashier! 

As a host and cashier, you will be the first and last point of contact for the guests. You will direct them to their table, manage guest flow, work a cash register to expedite carryout orders and in-house diners, answer phones, take carryout orders, and assist with delivery services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Must possess, understand and utilize a Sense of Urgency
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • Be able to multi-task

Server

The Range Café is looking for a server!

As a server at the Range Café, you are a crucial part of our guests’ experience. Our high standards of “Guest Amazement” are maintained through the effective teamwork of our team members whom share and embody our values and the desire to do the very best for our guests. During the hands-on training you will receive, you will learn about cross team relationships and will experience other positions in order to expand and diversify your skill set. Food quality, presentation and family-friendly service are an essential part of this position. These steps of service will act as a guide and reference point for your valued position as a server at the Range Café

Qualifications:

  • Must possess, understand and utilize a Sense of Urgency
  • Be able to work on your feet for up to 8 hours
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver a tray of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point of sale system.
  • Be able to multi task 
  • Be comfortable asking for help and asking questions

Hospitality Leader

The Range Café is looking for a hospitality leader! As a hospitality leader, you will oversee essential business duties related to the day-to-day operations of the restaurant; specifically, in the areas of Hospitality, Safety, Cleanliness, Kitchen, and Bar. This position ensures the shift runs efficiently, provides clear direction to hourly employees, and communicates all necessary business, employee, and guest updates to management team during shift changes. The Leader performs standard management duties, including opening and closing restaurant, completing employee checkouts, guest satisfaction, placing product orders, cash handling and maintaining a clean and organized restaurant. This position ensures all employees adhere to company policy and standards at all times. 

Qualifications  

  • High School diploma is preferred. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative. 
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Proficient in the following basic dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. 
  • Must agree to a background check and a drug test. 

Personal requirements 

  • Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing. 
  • Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance. 
  • Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards. 
  • Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems. 
  • Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff. 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as food, beverage, and labor cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities. 
  • Ability to determine the applicability of experience and qualifications of job applicants.
